Graham Thompson is the Academic Coach at Aligned Science Editing. With more than 25 years of experience in research, teaching, and academic leadership across institutions in Canada, Australia, and Europe, he founded ASE to provide scientific editing and academic coaching to help researchers, graduate students, and scientists communicate their work with greater clarity and confidence.
Throughout his career, Graham has found his greatest strengths lie in coaching and mentoring. Over his career he has directly supervised more than 50 undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral trainees, many of whom have gone on to publish in leading journals, win prestigious scholarships, and build successful careers in science, medicine, and education.
Graham holds a BSc and MSc in Biology from the University of Guelph and a PhD in Genetics from La Trobe University, Australia. He rose to the rank of full Professor of Biology at Western University and now holds a professorship at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario.
